Colonial trunk Extra-light c.1910

Superb 1910's colonial trunk, with hooped wood and covered with a coated canvas with sewn checkerboard patterns. The corners are protected in skin. The trunk has two solid brass handles, with the original owner's initials "V.B" painted on each side. The edges are riveted with copper nails to avoid oxidation. The trunk is extra light to facilitate complicated travel in Africa.

The interior of the trunk is covered with a linen canvas, with two frames for storing clothes. The label of La Fabrique Française is glued in the hood of the trunk.

Very good condition : Very nice model. Fine stains on the outer canvas, with slight indentations on the hood.
