Louis Vuitton trunk c.1995

Louis Vuitton cabin trunk from 1995 covered with "checkerboard ebony" canvas and protected by brown lozine edging. The trunk is equipped with brass jewelry, with 2 "Louis Vuitton" stamped leather handles attached to the sides of the trunk and 4 reinforcements attached to the underside.

The interior is lined in beige Vuittonite, with padding in the hood. The Louis Vuitton authenticity label with the trunk's serial number is also present.

Even though this is a recent model, the first owner of this trunk travelled well with it until 2005. There are a few marks on the outer edges and inner lining, but overall the trunk is in very good condition.

THE COFFEE TABLE, CABIN SIZE

These trunks disappeared from Louis Vuitton or Goyard sales catalogs when the airplane supplanted the liners in the immediate post-war period. For lack of traveling today with these cabin trunks, their format is ideal to make a coffee table. Often protected by a glass, it is the assurance of having an unusual table, full of history and symbol of an art of living at the beginning of the 20th century.
