Louis Vuitton hats trunk

Charming little Louis Vuitton hat trunk from the 1900's, protected by leather edges and equipped with a brass lock signed Louis Vuitton. The trunk is covered with a brown coated canvas, originally used for country trunks. 

In 1900, this model allowed men to travel with their three hats:

- For the evenings, the top hat which is fixed upside down in the bottom of the trunk

- For the city, the bowler hat fixed upside down in the frame, it goes inside the top hat upside down 

- For the country, fixed on top of the top hat 

Once the trunk is closed, the three hats are safely stored and maintained, regardless of the destination or nature of the trip. 

There are numerous hotel labels on the sides of the trunk, as well as the initials J.C. on the top. A leather handle is attached to the top. 

Inside is the label of the manufacturer Louis Vuitton, with the addresses of the time. The trunk is sold with a key. 

Good condition, nice patina of the exterior canvas, marks on the leather (original leather handle that should not be used). Clean interior.
