Complete hat trunk

Great little antique trunk from the 1900s, originally used to carry hats. The object is covered with a waterproof coated canvas, with a studded leather handle and edges, and brass jewelry to secure the closure. 

Transportation tags are visible on the front and left side of the luggage, showing travel between Madrid and Paris. The original owner was a school teacher.  

The particularity of this object is the interior design, with the original hats, we find a place to store a Canotier (hat for the country), the Melon hat (for the city), as well as two top hats (for the evenings). The bindings are made of canvas and leather, with a patented system to hold the two large hats. This trunk is a perfect example of the art of living of the time. 

Very good condition : The trunk is in a superb condition, with a very nice interior and a superb patina of the exterior canvas.
