Antique Prince of Wales trunk
Extremely rare Large Washing Hamper belonging to the Lord Chamberlain's of Windsor Castle in the 1900s. We find the term "P of W" on the key of the trunk (Prince Of Wales) as well as the number 8 painted on the trunk (number of the luggage fixed on the car).
Exceptional work of basketry, the luggage is protected by skin borders and is equipped with two solid rope handles. There are reinforcements on the whole structure of the trunk, as well as a reinforced solid brass lock. The original key works perfectly. The trunk is also equipped with four solid casters with the term "MOONEY MAKER ACTON" stamped on the protective wood of the bottom.
The interior is covered with a beige linen canvas, with two leather straps to hold clothes.
Very good condition : The trunk is in superb condition outside, some marks on the skin of the edges. We notice a stain on the interior canvas.
