Goyard shoe trunk c.1910
Very nice Goyard trunk from the 1910s covered with the emblematic Goyardine canvas and protected by lozine borders. There are three brass clasps stamped GOYARD ainé with the initials of the original owner U.B. painted on each side. The trunk is equipped with two leather handles, with the two Goyard authentication plates indicating the addresses of the stores at the time in Monte Carlo, Biarritz and 233 rue St-Honoré.
This luggage was originally equipped with two frames, compartmentalized to store 6 pairs of shoes. We notice on the left side and on the top of the trunk, labels of rail transport of the PLM company to Marseille as well as a Swiss customs clearance label dated 1952.
Very good condition : The trunk is in very good condition, with some marks on the outer and inner canvas. Everything is original on this luggage.
Provenance : Bought in a house near Avignon, France.
